Profil

Maike Voss war von Oktober 2022 bis Juni 2024 geschäftsführende Direktorin des Centre for Planetary Health Policy (CPHP), einem von der deutschen Allianz Klimawandel und Gesundheit (KLUG) gegründeter Think Tank. Sie hat den Aufbau des CPHP federführend vorangetrieben und maßgeblich dazu beigetragen, die junge Denkfabrik seit ihrer Gründung in kürzester Zeit als relevante Forschungs- und Beratungsinstitution zu etablieren. Seit 2020 ist Maike Voss Mitglied bei KLUG, wo sie sich fortan ehrenamtlich einbringen möchte.

Bevor sie zu KLUG und zum CPHP kam leitete sie die Global Health Governance Research-Gruppe an der Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin. In ihrer Forschung konzentriert sie sich auf die Steuerung von Gesundheit innerhalb planetarer Grenzen, insbesondere mit gesellschaftlichen, ökonomischen und politischen Treibern und Barrieren für Gesundheitsförderung und Prävention sowie mit den Wechselwirkungen zwischen Gesundheit, Klimawandel und Sicherheit. Sie ist Gründungsmitglied von Women in Global Health, Mitglied der Fachgruppe zur Aktualisierung des Sachstandsberichtes Klimawandel und Gesundheit am Robert Koch-Institut, Mitglied der Steuerungsgruppe des Zukunftsforums Public Health, Mitglied im Beirat des Vereins Cradle to Cradle e.V. und Mitglied der Lancet Commission for Synergies between Health Security, Universal Health Coverage and Health Promotion. Sie lehrt an mehreren deutschen Universitäten, u.a. in Bremen, Bielefeld und der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin und ist als freiberufliche Moderatorin tätig. Vor ihrem Wechsel zur SWP war sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Public Health und Pflegeforschung der Universität Bremen.
