RE-303 Sonic Potions vs Quicksilver CPU vs Pixie

  • Quote

Postby thunderheart530 »

Hey guys I have an RE-303 and I have a chance to buy a brand new Quicksilver cpu from a friend. I have been using the Sonic Potions cpu for a little while and theres a few bugs that really annoy me so I thought about putting the Quicksilver in as I have not heard many complaints about it.

I also have an opportunity to put the Pixie CPU in it.

Has anyone used all 3 or primarily the Quicksilver AND the Sonic Potions? Is it worth swapping out?

Thanks!

I'd check with the guys at dinsync to confirm the Quicksilver CPU will drop in. It probably requires some parts that a builder might have skipped installing (such as the yellow ift coil) if they were building it for the Sonic Potions CPU.

Pixie will work fine as it manages clock duties onboard. I've heard good things about the Pixie but at the moment I think the only thing thats added to the original tb-303 functionality is midi in and out.

I like some of the additional functions one gets with Sonic Potions even if its a little buggy.

I agree. Let's hope the final version of the Sonic Potions software will see the light of day
